MEET MISS INK

Misty L. Buck
President of Miss Ink, LLC

Born in Miami, Florida, Misty Buck graduated cum laude from Florida State University (FSU) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication, emphasis in public relations, and English, emphasis in creative writing, as well as earned a minor in Spanish. Throughout her collegiate career, Buck held several prestigious internships including a summer internship in New York City with Wenner Media in the promotions department for Us Weekly and Rolling Stone Magazine. She also worked in FSU’s media relations department where she saw the success of one of her press releases reach national recognition when it was picked up by the Associated Press and featured on 65 news stations’ web sites.

Post graduation, Buck interned in the fashion department at a local public relations firm before she went on to work as a public relations coordinator at the American Kennel Club in New York City. Prior to opening Miss Ink, Buck also worked as an account executive for one of Miami’s top public relations and marketing firms.

Today, Buck owns and runs, Miss Ink, LLC, a boutique communication firm in Miami. Through Miss Ink, Buck is able to help companies, non-profit organizations and individuals maximize the effectiveness of their communication efforts and ultimately increase their business. When she takes on a client, the image of their business becomes her passion. Buck is also adamant about pursuing education in the industries of communication and marketing regularly, particularly within the world of social media. She has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries such as entertainment, sports business, law, retail, hospitality, and real estate.

In addition to running Miss Ink, Buck volunteers for Paws 4 You Rescue and Generation Promise, enjoys working out, especially boxing, and is a member of BNI Coral Gables and the Miami Seminole Club.
